A number of people seem to be interested in joining us for the Bath photo walks from outside of Bath. So, if you are travelling from afar, here is some handy information.

The bus and train stations are both centrally located at the southern end of the main shopping area. Trains run direct from London and Bristol up to every 30 mins. For bus information, please check the First Bus website.

If driving, Bath has three Park and Rides which are really useful if you are unfamiliar with central Bath. Unfortunately, these don’t operate on a Sunday.

For walks running on a Sunday, there are a number of car parks in central Bath. Southgate car park is the main car park for the shops in Bath. Charlotte Street is also very central. You can find further information on these car parks and more here.

On Sundays on-street parking in Bath should be free. Good places to find a space include the Circus, Royal Avenue and Victoria Park – be aware that there is a permit parking scheme in operation in Bath so check signs to make sure you are definitely able to park! Also, during the summer, Bath gets VERY busy and so finding a free parking space become nearly impossible!

Also, please be wary when driving around Bath – there are many one way streets and also various bus lanes and bus gates in operation with some being notorious for catching unsuspecting drivers! Keep an eye out for signs and, if unsure, don’t chance it!
